Yeah its the last week of December, which mark end of an other year so let me share the achievement of this year before we say Happy New Year! To give a bit focus I am making two post, one for cars and this one for my 1:12 diecast motorbikes… Lets get started before the clock runs out!
First up is what Indian calls their home made cruiser, Royal Enfield Classic 500! This is actually a dealer edition 1:12 scale model and it just exploded like hell! I was fortunate that I made an preorder and got it! I was not cruiser(in real) but this bike got my attention for its details so I picked the first two colors made available (unboxing here). Out of the two colors camel is my favorite… Later Maisto released more colors but none impressed me the way these two did!
If I have to pick one 1:1 bike that I also have a 1:12 diecast model of, it will this BMW R Nine T! I love this bimmer since the day it was released and I waited so long to get my hands on one. Finally this year Maisto released this BMW and I managed to grab one and made her mine!
Like I mentioned before I am big fan of sports bike and I own a Kawasaki Ninja myself, and if I am planning to get this Kawasaki Z900RS, which finally made it to our shore this year! So having a 1:12 scale model is dream come true and Maisto did a cool job so I was happy to have one without regretting the decision! I also wanted the cafe racer version but the green color was kind of rare and never got see even one, so I am still looking for it!
I picked two Harley Davidson this year both were used by Captain America so I picked them to go with my 6inch action figure in my display and also for photoshoot sessions. Of the two I like the Street 750 more because its simple yet sleek to go well with the figure and matches the scale!
The Harley Davidson Road King Special is a good bike with some great details but the scaling is bad and looks almost similar in size to the Street 750, which is the very reason that brought the rating down for it. This looks good if displayed alone, just like the 2013 FLHTK Electra Glide Ultra Limited or 2013 FLHRC Road King Classic by Maisto as well.
Custom chopper don’t look so good in small scales so I don’t like them much! But sometime I pick some that are interesting and gets my attention. This is my second chopper and looks nicer in this bright yellow! The yellow frame might be a bit too much but I have some plans to fix them, which should elevate this guys look! I guess 2020 gets us more 1:12 bike options than this year and all of them makes it to our shore on time! Happy New Year, Everybody!
