Ford vs Ferrari is doing good in box office and it also won hell a lot of motorheads hearts. The movie is well made and inspired confidence in many. I being a diecast car collector want to do something with my diecast cars! The theme is “Ford vs Ferrari” of course but I picked the modern iteration of the same cars featured in movie tearing the tracks.
I picked two figurines(Kouzou Suzumoto and Jerry from Black List Crossroad Collection by Organic) to go with the cars, this adds a bit of variety and human factor into to the photoshoot. Initially I wanted to use my AUTOart Ford GT but later settled for this Maisto 2017 Ford GT, which compares well with this Ferrari 488GTB made by Bburago.
Jerry comes in a swanky Ferrari 488GTB in bright red and Kouzou Suzumoto shows up in a 2017 Ford GT as well in red with performance package and sporty decals. The Ford GT also carries a number “1” in its hood to brag.
Though both are painted red, they are very different in real. I personally like the red paint job in the Ford GT more than Ferrari, main reason could be the brightness factor! I also like the decal on GT, which immediately bags eyes.
Though I like raw out of the camera photos, sometime I wonder why I missed an opportunity of boosting the photo by doing a bit of photoshop. So I decide to do a kind of drag race like shot and add motion blur in PS… I got an output far better than what I expected. I like it so much I even posted it on a toy photography contest.
So end of the day, who won? Who cares!!! I pulled in this photoshoot to enjoy my weekend and complete did! Thank to the movie that kindled my dumb brain and got me out to do such a stunning photos. My personal favorite is the Ford GT even before I started this shoot, because I like Ford cars in general than Ferrari and this GT is kick ass! Do let me know you favorite in the comments below.
