Norev 1:18 TATA Nano – Unboxed

• TATA Nano made some real impact in India and where ever it was delivered but is this a real must have for me? Yep that’s the question that keeps coming back to me every time I see one these models in the shelves in TATA dealership of even in some sites… After some time I thought I will add this to my collection so that it gives the much needed variety to my collection, by then these models disappeared in thin air or became more expensive so I kept the plan on hold and moved on. Recently this model resurfaced in Ebay.in and I also got a coupon that can get me some serious discount(around 50%) so I went ahead and hit that Buy button! BTW this is the cheapest 1:18 car model in my collection, which makes this model really unique and also earns a quote “India’s Cheapest Car model at loot price”!

  The package that the original box came in is kind of clunky and cheap looking!! But they served their purpose rather well. TATA’s packaging team should consider this as Diecast Scale Model and not as a toy… because the original box is just thrown into this brown carton box with some newspaper around it, which let it wobble around in transit and may damage any small parts. Luckily for me the model came in one piece.

• The bubble wrap around the box provided enough protection but it annoys you to the core of they are attached on using transparent tape. After some struggle I decided to tear it off and that worked quite effective!! The box is actually nice but had taken couple of bad hits on one side, it purely because it was not given enough attention in packages department.

• Though the box is in not so good shape the model sports some sleek details… The paint finish looks so cool and the lensing seems decent for the price. This model come two opening doors and operable front hood, which also holds the removable spare wheels.

Pegged right next to the Kyosho Smart car this 1:18 scale TATA Nano by Norev does not look bare… It also score good on my first impression… So hold on for a full in depth review to check if this had to change!!
