Toyota Celica GTS – AUTOart

A series of coupes made by Toyota are named Celica derived from the Latin word coelica meaning “heavenly”. The Celica was available as notchback, liftback coupes, as well as a convertible though the seventh generation (what we have here) is available only as liftback in US. The 2000 model year Celica was an effort to bring younger buyers to the marquee who are heavily attracted by Acura Integra and Honda Civic.

As with every other model out there this model also features deadly paint finish. The head lamp and tail lamps are very nicely done which looks very realistic.

The rolled down front window strikes your eye and makes you ask “Is this an AUTOart?” as that is almost the trade mark of brand itself.

The rear hatch is a very nice with the sting attached parcel tray looks very cool.

The door hinge which is the greatest disappointment from AUTOart as even Maistos have a better mechanism, which hides the chunky hinge to some extend.

The neat instrument console is cool and pleasant in dual tone of aluminum and black.

The floor mat is one of the feature which is classy so as the seats upholstery (kind of texture feel material) makes it very nice to touch.

Engine bay is not great but very well done though plasticky but the aluminum part acts as a relief to the eyes.

This model is not a latest model from AUTOart, so the latest technologies are not put to use. Given that in favor this model gets a real good overall score. But if this is not your first AUTOart then you will be considerably disappointed, so be prepared.
