The Ranger Rover Evoque has captured the fantasy of urban buyers who wants a SUV that’s both stylish and capable! Based on LRX concept, which was unveiled at the North American International Auto Show 2008 has been accepted very well for retaining the features, amenities and off-road capabilities of a traditional Range Rover in a much smaller package. But we diecast scale model collectors did not see much except those LR branded USB drives and some 1:43 scales models!
The bigger scale collectors like me who usually collect only 1:18 scale were not so excited till now! The FX models (the niche model wing of Welly) has showed off this 1:24 which is priced at around $39.99
(www.megamo.hk) The price seems a little on the higher side but the features seem to justify the price! Available in five colors (Firenze Red, Black, Fuji White, Colima Lime and Orkney Grey) featuring fully functioning doors and bonnet! But its the panoramic sunroof that would seal the show!
When I was almost gave up on the 1:18 scale hunt, light from the other end appeared! The GT Autos(almost unknown brand but its Welly Premium Line) has started making the Evoque in decent quality and available in Fuji White, Colima Lime and Firenze Red colors. Priced at $135(

There are some mock pics on this site but we will have to wait till this goes mainstream to discuss about the features and quality, but the good news is this the Evoque is here! Being the Welly Lineup its quality has to be good keeping in mind the price!
