Meet My Bad Boy Figurine # 4

Welcome to the forth post of my Meet My Badboys series… As always I have some real good review filled with awesome photos. The collecter’s are getting hungrier and the maker are trying their best to feed the collectors with some good shit also keeping the competition intact. Like what we have seen in the diecast business the figurine makers are also trowing in some fine details and extra goodies to win the buyers heart. This Bad Boy here came with a beer can and a over coat which are... more

Diecast Year 2011 – Cars

This year(2011) has been a sluggish year for me, both on collection numbers as well as the xDiecast activities!! But with the good number of car in the lot already and the import duties (that I paid on couple of models from US) made me rethink about the patten that I follow this hobby. Though the ticker keeps ticking, its all in the 1:64scale so not much for the site… This year the import numbers have came down (just 4) makin my 1:18 collection slowdown a little. This year has seen eleven in... more

Diecast Year 2011 – Bikes

I would consider this year as the best diecast year both for bikes and car! Though the number are not doing justice but the model are!! With only 9 bikes/scooters in 1:12 and one each on 1:6 and 1:10 scales. This is one tough photo shoot because I could not find any favorites! because every model is hand picked… List includes 2 AUTOart and 9 Maisto. If I am cornered to pick a best from my list, I would pick the 1:6 Rossi’s MotoGP Ducati. AUTOart Norton Commando 952 is the most expensive... more

Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R (2005) – Maisto

The Ninja ZX-10R is a Kawasaki sport bike and the follow-up to the ZX-9R. It was originally released in 2004(which I have in here) with minor revisions in 2005. It combines an ultra-narrow chassis, low weight, and radial brakes. In 2004 and 2005 the ZX-10R won Best Superbike from Cycle World magazine and the prestigious international Masterbike competition. Kawasaki engineers utilized a “stack” design for a liquid-cooled, 998 cc inline four-cylinder engine produces over 160hp which propels... more

Meet The Stig Figurine in White

“Some say the Scottish released him too early!” – Jeremy Clarkson, “Some say he has a stripy top just like mine” – James May and “I say he is the most exotic and a must have figurine in any collectors ledger” all we know is he is called the Stig. I have been eyeing this figurine for a while and finally the time has come to hit the buy now button, so why buy one, two should be better and I did exactly that (one in black and the other in white). This... more

Hummer H1 Softtop – Exoto

The Hummer H1 is a civilian off-road vehicle based on the M998 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (or Humvee), which was created by AM General. The vehicle was produced from 1992 through 2006, and was the first of what became the Hummer line. It was initially known only as the “Hummer”; however, in 1999 in a joint venture between General Motors and AM General, GM began marketing the Hummer H2, which was built on the Chevrolet Tahoe chassis. It was at this point that the original... more

Meet My Bad Boy Figurine # 3

This figurine is also a part of the bad boys collection called “Organic Badboys Glare of eyes Vol.4″. The name well suites these figurines as the eyes are very well detailed and they definitely show fury. This figurine has many a nick names and the most popular is “Topless”. This boy is all about macho stans and workout freakish body language. He would definitely fit a street fighter kind of diorama so I gave him a very famous bad boy’s toy “Hummer H1″. They... more

Koenigsegg CCX – AUTOart

The CCX is a mid-engined roadster from Swedish car manufacturer Koenigsegg. The Koenigsegg CCX has been engineered to comply with the U.S. regulation and market demands and is a newer design that replaced the Koenigsegg CCR. CCX stands for Competition Coupé X; the X commemorating the 10th anniversary of the completion and test drive of the first CC vehicle in 1996. The Koenigsegg CCX was first unveiled on February 28, 2006 at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show although its existence was announced earlier.... more

Meet My Bad Boy Figurine # 2

My second figurine in line! This is a little more detailed than the first and it is a single piece unlike first one which came as two pieces. The figurine started driving with my model car as co-passenger and they are attracting quite a amount of eyes. This guy here is named as “Freak” because of his raised eye brows and mouth. On outdoor shoot this guy enjoys himself as I started including one or two of these figurines, infact in this particular Koenigsegg shoot I made more shots with... more

About Me

Hai I am Saran, I am a diecast collector by passion and web designer by profession and xDiecast.com is an attempt of merging them both. Since childhood I used to collect(actually play with) hotwheels, matchbox and a lot of radio controlled cars. This very recent passion driven hobby of diecast collection started with a Suzuki Hayabusa 1:12 scale which is actually gifted by my friend on my birthday.

Right now when I am writing this brief I hold 50 - 1:18 cars and 25 - 1:12 motorcycles and a lot of other scales too. I am not crazy collector in terms of number but I am indeed a super crazy collector as I used to wait and wait and wait for a particular model (like the recent RED SLS where the waiting period is six plus months) I don’t compromise and usually don’t give up…

Toping my list of cars is a BBR Enzo in my favorite color red of course. My collection will grow slowly as I am not going to rush to set my ticker on fire. An SLR update is quite visible with my pics and now eyeing a DIY photo studio which may bump the quality a little.
