Fast & Furious is one of the most successful movie series that revolves around cars and drivers! If you are a car nuts then there is a very big chance that you are a FF series lover! I am one of them who would do anything for a movie ticket. So its just natural that my collection should and would have few FF series cars! My favorite charactor in the movie is of course “Dominic Toretto” for his character and attitude! But I kind of like “Brian O’Conner” for his cars.. I am kind of modern car lover and the classic cars don’t do much damage in my heart! So here come my first movie car! This Nissan GT-R R35 is a replica of a car that Brian(late Paul Walker) drives in the movie Furious 7! It appears only for few seconds but does enough stealing before destroyed by a missile!

I got this model in “Toys R Us” in Khobar, Saudi Arabia, when I was posted there. Actually I first saw this model in “Carrefour” when we were doing some grossary shopping but gave it a skip as I wanted a Lkyn Hypersport in red, which was also released by Jada Toys. After a sweep like search all I could get is this Nissan GT-R R35 that Brian drove, which is great buy too. This is my second Jada(first one being a Chevrolet Camaro SS) and love the package of this Nissan GT-R. Thanks to bright street racing kind of art work and those monster “Fast & Furious” monograms all round the box, which kind of makes this a collector’s box even!
I usually don’t worry about the box this much, but this is no ordinary box I feel! Being a movie car and that too a famous franchise like Fast and Furious the box is worth saving…even Jada had put in a note(Packaging must be retained since it contains important information.) on the back to keep the box safe. This is my favorite packaging so far and I will treasure it as long as I can! I was little hesitant in the begining as I already have Nissan GT-R by Bburago but this is specially tuned car so for sure stands out!
- The main color theme is black but the bottom is all blue for those important notes and licensing info.
- Unboxing is a straight forward… open the box, pull the heavy frame, unscrew four screws and undo those transparent straps. The frame is something that’s worth mentioning, the material is strong and kept the model in tact even after that vigorous air travel treatment! Bravo Jada. Maisto also comes a structure same as this Jada Toys but the material and design takes it to a different level.
- The transparent straps are really light and I have no option but to cut them, which makes them non reusable. But they don’t put any sort of pressure on the model.
This Brian’s Nissan GT-R R35 was kid of heavy when compared with other comparable model but most of the weight is because of the packaging! Once out this model felt like a feather(very light in comparison, will do proper weight test on my full review), even my Bburago felt a little heavy! But the good thing is it doesn’t feel any cheap at all! The door lock with a click and the hood and truck stays up without any support! As a rituals I do some sort of size comparison with comparable model that I have in my collection, this time around I have the very same model by Bburago and that model looks puny! I guess this Jada Nissan GT-R is slightly of scale, which I will investigate a bit and let you know.

This Nissan GT-R R35 comes with all sort of performance kit, after all this a car that Brain uses to run away from bad guy so all of these are expected. I love the carbon fiber hood, though it look a bit in your face but a nice touch in my opinion! The over sized spoiler, wide track tires with those huge forged alloys look super cool but the tail lamp optics took me on a ride like never before!
- The full review is going to be fun because this model sports some really nice details on the outside but on closer inspection it show those traditional Jada’s defects! The wheels don’s turn, the under body look like it some from an other car altogether and finally the gaps! Ahh they are really wide in some areas and a super tight in some! So all this puts me in a position to do justice to this model as well as to my readers. As I have so many car to review it may take some time for the full review so please hold on and I wont disappoint you. Ciao.
