NewRay 1:12 Ducati Monster 796 Rossi Edition – Unboxed

The most exiting news from NewRay this year is the Ducati Monster 796 in Rossi/Hayden livery… This 1:12 Ducati Monster packs in enough punch to keep most of the Valentino Rossi’s fans satisfied on a budget!! Just like the 1:1 bike this scale model Monster also gets some mixed review from around the world! I kind of unsatisfied with the FlipKart’s service with the last few purchases as all of them dint have the essential speedo stickers and rear view mirror stickers, seems like most model imported to India have these defects so I dont hold grudge on FlipKart but on NewRay’s dual standard or poor quality control! I am kind of responsible for emptying their diecast store in most ways, because with or without fixable defects I want them in my collection especially those cool Ducati in bright red paint job.

• This brown postage carries lot of Flipkart material but they are ok! What happened this time is the box had taken a nasty bump on to its right corner but nothing damaged inside.. thanks to the abandoned usage of bubble wrap. This purchase is also a combo purchase so one other surprise model is awaiting to be unboxed…

As always the postage and the NewRay box are in a pretty bad shape but I feel this most not the vendors issue but the importer’s deal as most of these diecast scale model are still consider to be a toy than a precious scale model for adult collectors. And because of this mentality the importer would have imported the reject items at a very cheap price, which explains why the missing stickers of the speedo is not considered a defects.

  The actual unboxing experience is on par with most other NewRay model as this one also uses those conventional quick string to fasten the model to its base. As per the unboxing’s concern the fit and top notch but the mess it leaves behind is enormous! This package also has the some old issue as other NewRay 1:12 bike models, which is the repackaging – that is almost not possible.

This is one model I added to my collection out of love for my GP Legend Rossi so I have no regrets with this purchase… And also I love Ducati Monster in any form, scale and make… So in this Rossi decal scheme should only impress me. Hold on and wait from my full review to find out weather NewRay did satisfy me or failed! Till then Caio!
