I been collecting diecast scale models for a very long time and every year comes with new experience thats why I put up this year-end post talking about my year passed by. This year is one of the first year I ran out of everything… scale models, time to work on my photography skills and even toy store (started close doors one after other) but I still managed to pick and close my wishlist from Maisto’s 2020 lineup, yeah 2020 not 2021!
First diecast scale model for the year 2021 is the 1:18 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 by Maisto. I picked it a day before Valentine’s Day so this guy is very special not just because its my favourite Muscle car but also a cool finish and strip. This being a Shelby GT500 comes with all sort of performance parts and I love its ground hugging stance the most.
Lamborghini is my favourite car company and I would want to add as much 1:18 diecast scale model as possible and this year got me one more! Yeah its the Lamborghini V12 Vision Gran Turismo in olive green, which reminds me of those track tool. This was also my wishlist item right from Maisto’s 2020 catalog and wanted this in only the green so I went for it! Though this one of the lightest Maisto 1:18 scale model, this is also the sexiest(specially with the hood and trunk open) on the lot of sports cars and exotic cars.
I love big American muscle cars and Mustang takes the first place closely followed by Challenger/Demon but Corvette also a strong place in my heart. Last year’s Maisto Catalog had some cool car and I managed to them all along with this beautiful 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray in bright red. This is a beauty and a best build on to one car! Though this year dint get me far with numbers but I got a decent score so the year 2021 is still a good year… Lets hope 2022 is better for all toy collector or not, everyone happy better year.
